Fabulous Fall Weddings

Photo via Offbeat Bride

Surprisingly, one of the busiest times of year for weddings has become the fall. People are always surprised when I tell them this, because most women want to get married when it's warm and when pink flowers are in season. Ladies, it's time to embrace a new tradition! Weddings in the fall offer so many opportunities that spring and summer simply do not. Break away from the overdone pink summer weddings and embrace the fall foliage! Fall offers the opportunity for rustic weddings, delicious seasonal foods and beautiful golden color palates.

Use rustic elements like mason jars, raffia, buttons, and gold hand made jewelry accents to set your autumn wedding to a crafty start.

Use the wonderful fall foods to your advantage by offering guests delicious treats like cinnamon roll bites, hot apple cider, pumpkin ale, and pumpkin ice cream floats! Your guests will leave satisfied after such a taste treat sensation.
Chocolate cake, say what?

Using in season elements, like pumpkins, in the midst of all of the flowers and decor that you can't do without, like the gorgeous peonies pictured above, is a great way to keep costs down, fill out your table and add to the homey, fall sensation of an event.

You can't go wrong with a great cable knit sweater over a light hearted gown with some great shoes as a whimsical fun look to enjoy your wedding day. Some girls love the short dresses, and some girls have always dreamed of a good old fashioned ball gown. Both options are fabulous, just make sure that whatever you wear, you have fun with your look.

As for the groom, just because its cooler weather does not mean he has to dress in a dark suit or tux. Light grey or even tan is perfectly acceptable for this time of year. To make his look even more exciting, us some of the fantastic fall foliage in his boutonniere to continue your cohesive fall theme.

Gold and coper tones are everywhere you look this time of year, so why not tie in those accent colors to your look? Have a fabulous metallic clutch to complete your bridal look and then wear some gorgeous coper lingerie to surprise your groom with on your wedding night! While we are on the subject of the groom, you could even get him some golden cufflinks to go with his subdued light grey look. Wear a golden belt with your gown, and why not some gold shoes to match?  Since you are already having so much fun with the gold, throw in some accents to your wedding decor. Gold flatware is a great idea, and something that will set you apart from everyone else. Golden cakes, anyone?
Accents are everything!

If you don't want to go crazy with the fall foliage colors, then you can try using bright green to offset some pops of yellow, orange and red. You will still get the feeling that fall is in the air, but it will be a much lighter and brighter feel than what anyone would anticipate a fall wedding to have. You can never go wrong by surprising your guests!

Feel free to go crazy with the rustic wedding details. They naturally add to the sensation of fall and never fail to look amazing for photos. People leave weddings having appreciated all the little details, and the rustic vibe makes them inexpensive to execute and fabulous decor additions.
