Real Wedding: Jaime & John

I had such a wonderful time working with Jaime and John on their wedding last October at Bella Collina Towne and Golf Club. Jaime was a coordinator's dream bride! She knew exactly what she wanted and the results were beautiful! The overall look of the event was rustic and vintage, which matched the beautiful setting of Bella Collina perfectly. If you are on the look out for a San Clemente venue, Bella Collina's scenery can't be beat. Enjoy these photos courtesy of Tiffany Johnson from Eliza J. Photography

The flowers were done by Natural Charms Florals. They did an excellent job at capturing the natural, soft white look that Jaime was going for by using roses, babies breath, dahlias, hydrangea, lisianthus, and dusty miller.

Jaime put together some beautiful DIY details. We just loved the look of this guest sign in quilt! Every guest signed a scrap of fabric that was used to make a memory quilt. So fun!

Fans were given to guests as favors along with these darling custom made programs.

The ring bearers carried a darling sign that brought the couple's fun sense of humor and personality to the ceremony.

The reception space was filled to bursting with charming, natural and rustic details. From the "We do" cake topper to the wooden tables with lace table runners, to the wine bottle centerpieces. Jaime's personality was everywhere!

As Alumni of USC, the couple had the Trojan marching band make a surprise entrance at the reception. This was a fantastic crowd pleaser and amped up the atmosphere of the party.

Thank you so much to Jaime and John for having me be a part of your big day. I wish you both many many years of happiness, fun, and Trojans victory to celebrate together!

Real Wedding: Elizabeth & Brian

Today we get to reminisce about the beautiful celebration that was Liz and Brian's wedding! I had such a great time working with this couple to pull together all the beautiful details of their special day. They gave a whole new meaning to the term DIY wedding! I got to spend the days leading up to the wedding with the bride's mom, aunts and friends making all of the floral centerpieces and bouquets. The groom, himself, even made the hummus appetizer! Such a fun couple! Enjoy these beautiful photos by Emma of Honey Honey Photography.

Liz wanted very soft, elegant looking bouquets in shades of white and blush pink with touches of greenery. We made her bouquets mainly out of roses, hypercurium berries, and lisianthus, and then tied them all with long ribbon and lace streamers to add movement and fun texture. So much more exciting than just a plain old satin ribbon! The boutonnieres were tied together with twine to add a nice vintage looking touch.

The bride and groom (along with their friends and family) put together all of the cute DIY details found throughout the wedding. There were custom signs, fun desserts, a whole appetizer station, and games for guests to play during cocktail hour. The groom even made little signs out of scrabble tiles, because the two of them love playing games together. What a great personal touch!

Thank you so much to all of the vendors who helped make this wedding fabulous!

Kaitlyn and Brian's Wedding Video

Check out this beautiful video by talented videographers Tom Benitez and Brett Junvik. I was thrilled when I saw how beautiful the video turned out. They did such an incredible job! If there's room in your wedding budget, I highly recommend having a talented videographer to capture your big day.

Real Wedding: Kaitlyn & Brian

Today I have the pleasure of sharing a beautiful wedding that we did last year at the Fullerton Arboretum. Kaitlyn and Brian had a lovely wedding in the midst of all the beautiful greenery found on the lush orchard lawn. Kaitlyn wanted to keep everything very simple, and didn't want to have anything that would end up looking "dated" in the long run. The result was a very natural, fun outdoor affair. These exquisite photos were shot by Elizabeth Ray Photography

The bride's brother, Clayton Jensen, of Another World Plants and Terrariums did all the incredible succulent centerpieces found throughout the wedding. They looked so fresh and wonderfully different in comparison to all the over the top florals that are trending in weddings right now. I highly recommend that all my modern brides out there use succulents for their weddings. Succulents last a very long time and end up as great favors for guests to take home. Not to mention, they look so unique and interesting in a wedding setting!

A friend of the bride provided all of these amazing homemade cakes for dessert. They looked fantastic and tasted delicious too! It was so nice to have something other than just a basic wedding cake. Guests could have their choice of any and all of these delicious desserts.

The venue looked stunning at night with twinkle lights in the trees, and colored globe lanterns scattered around the perimeter of the reception space. We also did some beautiful amber up-lights, provided by our DJ from Groove Box Entertainment, that gave the whole space a beautiful glow, and made all the guests look great in the wedding photos. Don't underestimate the power of great lighting! Lighting always makes a huge difference when it comes to ambiance. It's always so nice to work with a great DJ who provides lighting as well. Kurtis, from Groove Box, was so great to work with, and did an excellent job keeping the guests on their feet all night long.

Thank you to Kaitlyn and Brian for letting us be a part of your big day! Congratulations on your marriage. We love you guys and wish you all the very best that marriage has to offer!
